Media Training

Reaching news media is one of the most effective ways to influence change makers. This "hands-on" workshop led by Pedal Love's founder, Melissa Balmer, will help Vision Zero advocates hone and deliver their messages for greater positive impacts. This event will include guidance on getting your message across in media interviews, submitting OpEds, using social media platforms like Twitter to connect and engage with the right journalists and more — all with a focus on controlling your own narrative and leveraging your passion for safe, vibrant, healthy streets. This session is being offered by the Vision Zero Network and is geared towards FSS members as well as advocacy organizations from across the country preparing for World Day of Remembrance and beyond.
